Isotropic Systems Named to London’s 'Digital Innovators Power List'

Recognized for Innovation to Enable Satellite Broadband for Mass Markets

London, November 6, 2017 – Isotropic Systems, the global innovator in spectrally efficient, low-cost satellite antennas, announced today the company has been named as one of London's most visionary digital companies in this year's 'Digital Innovators Power List' in the “market transformer” category.

Isotropic Systems was recognized for its transformational optics technology that will lower satellite antenna manufacturing costs by 80-90% from the cost of producing conventional phased array and flat panel antennas. Its antenna innovations are poised to introduce disruptive terminal pricing whilst increasing features and performance to fully enable enterprise and consumer satellite broadband. Current terminal alternatives make total cost of ownership too high to be viable for satellite broadband to mass markets.

“We’re changing the rules of antenna theory and design to enable operators and service providers alike to provide high-performance and affordable global broadband connectivity via satellite,” said John Finney, Founder & CEO of Isotropic Systems. “It’s an honour to be recognised on the Digital Innovators Power List by Bird & Bird and City A.M. in the market transformer category.”

“The global satellite industry will be successful in satisfying data demands when the total cost of ownership is low enough and that is our sweet spot,” Finney said. “This paradigm shift will usher in a new period of unprecedented growth for satellite operators and their customers.”

The Digital Innovators Power List was launched in October by international law firm Bird & Bird LLP and London-based news brand, City A.M. Companies on the list were selected based on five criteria: captivating story of innovation; at growth stage; have secured institutional funding; based in and around London; and are creating a buzz in the media. A panel of digital experts will name an overall winner in the "life changer" and "market transformer" categories in September 2018.

Nicholas Perry, Partner and Head of London, Bird & Bird, says: "London's position on the global stage has never been more important and it continues to be the home of some of the world's most pioneering digital companies. This year's Digital Innovators Power List celebrates some of the most visionary digital companies in the city and will explore the many ways in which technology is transforming the world. Alongside City A.M. and our partners, we are thrilled to recognise these growth-stage companies and provide a network of like-minded individuals who can stimulate, create and foster innovation."
