Microwave Circuit Engineer

 
 

Isotropic Systems, Inc is seeking a RF/Microwave design engineer to join our growing team of creative, highly skilled engineers.  The position will be located in Linthicum, MD.

Responsibilities will include development and demonstration of novel phased array antenna architectures, requirements generation and allocation, system modeling and budgeting, RF circuit and module design using multi-layer laminate boards, specification and design of RFIC subsystems, and performance verification of antenna systems and subsystems.

Required experience: Development and demonstration of novel phased array antenna architectures, requirements generation and allocation, system modeling and budgeting, RF circuit and module design using multi-layer laminate boards, specification and design of RFIC subsystems, and performance verification of antenna systems and subsystems. 

Essential Candidate Discriminators:

  • Demonstrated experience in the design, development and test of RF/microwave hardware, especially pertaining to actively electronically scanned arrays (AESA) systems
  • Demonstrated experience with the design, development or integration of RFICs/MMICs and their subsystems
  • Proficiency in requirement derivation, allocation, budgeting of phased array systems and subsystems
  • Proficiency in electromagnetic simulation using 3DEM software (i.e. ANSYS HFSS)

Basic Qualifications:

  • Relevant engineering or physics degree required
  • Relevant experience required: 10 years with BS; 8 years with MS

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with RF/Microwave component design, RF/uW materials, antenna theory, and electromagnetic theory
  • Experience with RF/Microwave lab measurements and testing
  • Experience with ANSYS HFSS
